Personal Training Service
I am committed to providing specific training that will
encourage you to view health and fitness as a lasting,
personal concept. While I motivate you to
achieve your short-term goals, I hope to empower you
with an enduring, life-long focus on health.
I especially enjoy working with people who have never exercised
before, elderly and special needs clients. As a
volunteer, I have trained several HIV+ clients and welcome working
with other populations.
Training Philosophy
Before beginning training, be sure to consult with your
physician. Afterwards, we will meet for an initial
consultation to discuss your goals and assess your strengths
and weaknesses. At this consultation, I will collect
data to build your confidential profile and we will work as a
team to develop a set of short term and long term goals that
are not only realistic but also achievable.
Using this information, I will design a fitness program
that is specifically tailored to your goals, your abilities,
lifestyle and personal likes. My programs incorporate a
blend of strength training, cardiovascular activity, balance and
stretching exercises. Personalized service is my focus from
Day One.
As I introduce you to each exercise, I will stress safe
exercise technique and form. I will be there to spot you
when needed. While keeping you motivated, I will encourage
you to "visualize" and feel your muscles as they work. I try
to teach something new about health and fitness at each session so
that each session contributes to a lasting concept of
fitness.
I constantly cycle exercises, angles, intensity and the
exercise order to obtain results for you- preventing plateaus for
both you and your muscles.
Periodically we will review your performance, measure the
distances we've come and adjust the exercise program to meet new
challenges.
